In 1999, Mike departed from his lovely Caribbean country Haiti to move to the United States to pursue his goals. Once he landed on U.S. soil, he started working with several organizations and the U.N., by assisting them at fund raising events all over the country.

In 2001, he worked with ONE HEART FOUNDATION/UNICEF to raise money for a worldwide cause. He hosted a calendar event with Haitian friend Super model Tyrone Edmond, and Carlo Pierre, which raised capital for the 911 catastrophe at the World Trade Center in New York City. In 2003, he produced and hosted an art show and charity event with Toni Morisson's son Slade Morrison and his brother Frantz Jean-Baptiste.

Blessed with an impressive work ethic, he started his own record label in 2001 called Moonlight Entertainment with his old friends and partners Joseph Theus, Salvatore Albert Bazile and Henry Beausejour.

Soon after, he co-founded GMB (Get Money Brothers) with Tyrone Edmond. When he met Tommy Hilfiger and his brother Andy Hilfiger, they developed an exceptional relationship. The Hifigers became very active in the project, and joined him as partners. They proceeded by shopping Kat De Luna to major U.S. labels. Finally, they approached Epic Records together, and the rest is history. Kat De Luna became the darling of Charlie Walk who instantly recognized Mike as a major force behind the project.

Most recently, he organized a fund raising project with Gordon Tapper, Sherry Moore, and the United Nations with the help of Give Them A Hand Foundation. The money raised from the fundraiser was used to purchase water filtration systems for several communities in Haiti. Major participators at the fundraiser were the Haitian's Consul General Felix Augustin, U.N. personnel, and several other known figures and organizations. Talented artists such as Michael Fredo, Mel-Soul-Tree, and Shaka Dee gave their support by performing.

Mike is now involved with the United Nations and GTAH to promote Senegal's President Maître Abdoulaye Wade's FESMAN 2008 festival on the 22nd of November 2008 where the emphasis will be on Black Culture. " It is the breath and life of Black culture, partaking in the biggest worldwide cultural contest. It is the gathering of voices, gestures, and works of a billion and a half individuals coming from Africa, the Americas, and Europe." Present will be award winning actor Denzel Washington, Danny Glover, Roberta Flack, etc...Following that event, he is again combining efforts with the United Nations, UNICEF and GTAH to continue the water project to provide clean portable water for more than 20,000 families in Haiti.

He is currently giving King Kino's foundation a hand at organizing fund raising events to help children in Haiti get an education and return to school. He is spending considerable energy into making Cite Soleil, an area that is considered one of the poorest in Haiti, a better place to live.

In addition, he is in the process of writing a book about his life entitled "MY LIFE", which will be available on book stands in 2010. In the memoir, he talks about his passion when it comes to helping others, young and old. One of Mike's inspirations is Mother Teresa, who was a missionary who dedicated her entire life helping people in poverty all over the world.

" Top music legend producer/songwriter Quincy Jones, who just received BET lifetime achievement award said: "MIKE JEAN is one of the best talented newcomers Producer/Songwriter the industry has been waiting for."
